Venezuela joins the ICO

13 October 2017

We are delighted to announce that on 13 October 2017 the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela became the 78th and newest Member of the International Coffee Organization (ICO).

We had the pleasure of welcoming HE Ms Rocío Maneiro to the ICO on 13 October, and pledged to work closely with the Venezuelan authorities to help overcome the challenges facing the country’s coffee sector.

1 October is #InternationalCoffeeDay.

This year we have chosen a very special theme for this year’s celebrations: ‘Women in Coffee’. Women play as important a role in the whole of the coffee chain as men, from planting the seeds to processing to trading to brewing… and drinking it.
